IYCY’s Medical Camp in Mawza district
The International Youth Council Camp – Yemen, which was organized yesterday in the Maoza district – West of Taiz Governorate in coordination with the Public Health Office, has successfully achieved its relief goals
The work of the relief camp which targeted 370 displaced people in the Al-Hameli area – Mawza district, varied in providing health services such as doses and worm medicines provided to 135 male and female, and 31 individuals vaccinated, most of them were children…
In addition, nutrition services were provided for malnourished cases, of which 53 were severely malnourished…
As part of its health services, the camp distributed about 400 bags of oral rehydration solution, as well as organizing a workshop with the camp to aware people of the risks of diseases and the importance of nutrition and prevention..
Targeted citizens in the camp expressed their thanks and gratitude for what was presented in the camp. Ameen Abdo Muqbil Otaif pointed out that, The International Youth Council -Yemen is the only organization that has provided
integrated services to the displaced people.
It is indicated that the international Youth Council – Yemen is implementing its health projects for the targeted people through specialized medical cadres that the Council had ensured to qualify and train them to do these tasks.
