IYCY and DFID launched Shelter Material distribution project in Almaafer district
International Youth Council – Yemen (IYCY) launched the distribution project of shelter materials for Alhudidah governorate IDPs settled in Almaafer district, Taiz governorate, funded by the Department for International Development in the British Foreign Office – David, today Saturday, September 8, 2018.
The project aimed to distribute shelter materials (tents) to 301 displaced families affected by the war in Alhudidah governorate settled in Almaafer district, Taiz governorate.
The project is implemented in coordination with the shelter cluster and under the supervision of the local authorities of Almaafer district, which targeted in the first phase 63 affected families in the Albrakani camp and 26 September school camp for displaced families out of 301 families.
the housing projects is one of the most important qualitative projects that have a positive and tangible impact in alleviating the suffering of displaced families and emergency response to the relief of those affected. Furthermore this projects among the projects implemented by (IYCY) in Taiz governorate and within dozens of relief and humanitarian projects in various emergency field, and this is a catalyst for steadfastness and facing the circumstances. This represents an incentive for resilience and facing the living conditions, left by the crisis in Yemen.
It is noteworthy that the project continues to target the affected displaced camps in Almaafer district, including ( almalikah camp, Al-Neke’a camp – Al-Bireen camp – Jebel Zeid 1 camp, Al-Jarraf, camp, Jebel Zeid 2 camp, and Al-Taawm camp) during this week.
