Administrative planning skills Workshop
The International Youth Council – Yemen (IYCY) organized the third training workshops “Administrative planning skills” as the outcomes of International Youth Day event titled empowerment of Youth, civil society organizations and Youth Initiatives, on 6th September, 2018 with Sarah Radman. The course targeted 45 trainees from youth organizations. The workshop held in the Council’s Headquarters, Sana’a at youth’s tent.
The workshop addressed many concepts about administrative planning, and what is planning and its importance. The planning answers four important questions: Where are we now? Where do we want to be? How do you get there? How do we measure our progress?
After that, the importance of planning was discussed, where administrative planning is a prerequisite for the success of any endeavor for organizations. Good planning also helps to achieve good results. Management planning requires sound and well thought out, comprehensive self-evaluation within the organization, regardless the nature of its work, and comparing the organization with surrounding organizations operating within the same sector, in order to devise the appropriate strategy. In addition, the objectives of administrative planning and its good impact on the course of work and discipline were discussed.
The International Youth Council – Yemen is keen to build the capacity of youth and youth institutions through its ongoing activities and workshops. This workshop is part of a series of training workshops to build youth and youth institutions capacities.
