As a precaution from Corona. IYCY implements spraying and sterilization campaigns in Maqbanah district
The International Youth Council – Yemen (IYCY) launched an awareness and educational campaign as well as spraying, sterilization, and distributing masks and gloves, to the marginalized displaced people in the sub-district of Bani Salah, Maqbanah District.

Eng. Tareq Hassan, Chairman of the International Youth Council – Yemen, said this campaign comes in the public interest of the country, following the epidemic of the new of Corona, which is exciting and disturbing to the whole world. Therefore, the youth of IYCY have mobilized all their efforts and energies, in order to announce their emergency plan, to do everything they can do, to reassure the community, relieve psychological pressure, educate and support it … so that it is prepared by all means to prevent Corona, at a personal and general level.

Hassan added that the WASH team in Muqbanah District, Taiz Governorate, put its plan on the basis of volunteer work, and to be ready, to implement any role to serve the community, bearing all the difficulties and conditions, in order to succeed and achieve the goal.

Engineer Tareq Hassan pointed out that the work team was divided into two groups, the first group “where volunteers carry out home and family awareness, and around water sources”, and the second group “where volunteers go out into the field, educate the community in markets, displaced groups and marginalized.”

The campaign succeeded well in the marginalized compound, amidst a widespread demand from residents to expand the sterilization area.
