In the framework of the Council’s response to the cholera outbreak, and to enhance the capacities of the Council in order to implement emergency interventions, and to scale up and expand the Council activities in this regard, in cooperation with the GARWSP and Water Association Labs. Today was the start of the second phase (practical) of the training course “Chlorination and Hygiene Promotion” by the trainers/ Amin Abdulsalam Al-Musanef and Sara Al-Mualiemi. IYCY members and its volunteers were trained and qualified on the implementation and supervision of the chlorination process, the program consist of : (i)how to do water chlorination, (ii)types of chlorination, (iii)chlorination uses and quantities, (iv)amount of water with the chlorine, (v)methods of measuring free chlorine, and (vi)finally the measuring devices. The trainees assigned to a have working group and start the demo application for the Chlorination process in the AlWahda directorate and some of the trainees’ tanks with the supervisors of the laboratory in order to enhance that they all ready for the field work in Sana’a and Taiz.
