Chlorination and hygiene promotion in Sana’a
International Youth Council –Yemen – concluded the Training course “Chlorination and hygiene promotion” in Sana’a in the council headquarters by the professional trainer Dr. Taha Al-Sorori. The aim of the course was to give and provide the trainees (supervisors and volunteers) with knowledge and information about the cholera outbreak which killed and still kills millions of people. The course was a part of the effort of the council to contribute more with more effective ways to containment of the cholera outbreak. The course was attended by 25 trainees (the council members and its volunteers) in order to deployment of community outreach among the society members, especially mothers and kids, as well to implement urgent interventions in the areas that are affected by the outbreak. The program consisted of many topics such as definition of cholera, its symptoms, methods of prevention, cholera treatment, and ways of community awareness. The course will continue for the period of 25- 27 of December and it will consist of many other topics concerning the application of the chlorination process
