Sana’a – International Youth Council : Conclusion of chlorination and Hygiene promotion course
Chlorination and Hygiene Promotion course (practical) was concluded today at IYCY. today’s program included the practical implementation of the chlorination process by dividing the trainees into groups and conduct practical exercises to chlorinate water and implement what they have learned in this course; that included chlorination of the council tanks and some others tanks in the trainees’ home. Also, the trainees made the analysis by the measuring devices for the residual chlorine under supervision of the trainers from the Operational Unit of Water Emergency and Labs Water Foundation and IYCY supervisors. The International youth council has finished qualifying and training for more than 50 volunteers and IYCY staff. In the end of the training the trainees thanked the Council and they showed their dedication and intent to conduct any emergency interventions in the targeted districts. The course would be followed by field visits to raise community awareness on cholera and hygiene promotion.
