IYC-Yemen Empowers Young People with Labor Market Skills in Sana’a Training
The International Youth Council-Yemen (IYCY) took a proactive step towards youth employment by conducting a “Preparing Youth for the Labor Market” training course in Sana’a. Held on February 23, 2019, the workshop equipped approximately 60 young men and women with valuable skills to navigate the competitive job market.
- Led by Engineer Tariq Hassan, the training formed part of IYCY’s Youth Capacity Empowerment Programme.
- The sessions focused on equipping participants with the crucial skills needed to secure job opportunities, emphasizing four key areas: qualifications, language proficiency, technical skills, and networking.
- Essential documents for career advancement were covered, including crafting professional CVs, impactful cover letters, and compelling motivation letters.
Demonstrating its commitment to youth development, IYC-Yemen intends to continue offering such workshops and training courses, solidifying its vision of empowering young people and strengthening youth institutions.
