IYCY Carries out activities of peacebuilding process

In partnership with UN women , and under the project of Strengthen the Engagement Capacity for Young men , women and Youth initiatives in community led peacebuilding process in (Al Misrakh and Marib districts ) of Taiz and Mareb Governorates of Yemen
The international Youth Council-Yemen (IYCY) has implemented the project activities during the period of 1st December 2019 to 10th February 2020, the activities included coordination with the local authorities, selecting, recruiting, and mapping the youth peacebuilders , in addition to hold three-days training for youth initiatives , three-days training for community leaders , and starting implementing the activities of the project in peace building and conflict resolution
The sophisticated approach IYCY has developed and used in the implementation of the activities such that activate the targeted communities through inclusion and participation , simultaneously address the current gaps and needs and eventually advocate as well as strengthen the capacities for sustained interventions and long term programs
IYCY has coordinated with the different stakeholders such as the local authorities , social affairs office , educational office , judiciary bodies , and community committees and through organizing workshops for participants from these bodies , the advocacy and coordination has resulted in gathering different efforts which impact apparently in the implementation and outcomes of the project
