IYCY launched the Earth Creator competition

International Youth Council – Yemen (IYCY) launched the Earth Creator competition coinciding with Earth Day 2020.
Coinciding with Earth Day 2020, and within the concerns of IYCY with environmental issues and preserving them, IYCY launched the “Earth Creator” competition in Yemen in cooperation with Earth Day Network, for photographers, illustrators and writers, with the aim of contributing and raising awareness of environmental issues, and reducing their effects on Yemen.

Chairman of IYCY, Engineer Tareq Hassan, pointed out that the competition is part of a global communication campaign between society and artists around the world, aimed at engaging people in environmental issues, at the local or international level. Hassan added, focusing on art is in the service of environmental issues, because art has the ability to reach people easily, and deliver messages,

In addition, the competition aims to create an emotional connection and a deep understanding of the environmental problems we are experiencing in Yemen. Hassan indicated that it is possible to participate in any artwork that focuses on the environment in Yemen, by investing in social media platforms to expand discussions on environmental issues, in the society in which they are present.
