IYCY launched training for health volunteers

IYCY launched training course for health volunteers
In the presence of Dr. Abdul Rahim Al-Qasmi, Director General of the Health Office at Mawza district, Taiz governorate. International Youth Council-Yemen (IYCY) launched the training session for the Health volunteers, As part of the project activates “IYCY Integrated emergency life-saving interventions with Nutrition, Health , WASH under the parameter 1 for most vulnerable affected populations group with high risk of famine and with high SAM prevalence in Maqbanah, and Mawza districts in Taizz”, implemented by the International Youth Council-Yemen (IYCY) and funded by Yemen humanitarian fund (YHF).

The course aims to introduce the participants to the overall goal of the course and the skills trainees should have during the training days, as well as train the volunteers on identifying severe malnutrition cases and how to deal with the case. In addition, The volunteers will be trained in communication and communication skills as well as raising awareness and education of the community and family members on reproductive health , especially on hygiene, infectious diseases and reproductive health.

The session was attended by Ahmed Ghalib, health supervisor of IYCY at Mawza district, nutrition officer at Mawza district Dr. Najat Ali, and reproductive health officer Dr. Ghalia Ahmed.
