As part of the humanitarian efforts of IYCY, which aimed to alleviate the suffering of the most affected population and IDPs in the affected districts by the conflict in Taiz.
IYCY provided Al-Hijfah and Al-Mateemah Health Units in Mawza district with a number of free medicines and medical supplies within the project “IYCY Integrated emergency life-saving interventions with Nutrition, Health, WASH under the parameter 1 for most vulnerable affected populations group with high risk of famine and with high SAM prevalence in Maqbanah, and Mawza districts in Taizz”, implemented by the International Youth Council-Yemen (IYCY) and funded by Yemen humanitarian fund (YHF).
Eng. Tariq Hassan, Chairman of IYCY, pointed out that this first aid batch of medicines and medical supplies in subsequent batches, comes from their sense in humanitarian and moral responsibility imposed on them to work to alleviate the suffering of the population and displaced in those areas and save what can be saved
Mawza district is one of the most affected areas by the conflict and is located in remote areas that are difficult to reach. IYCY has ensured the operation of Al-Hijfah and Al-Mateemah Health Units and pay incentive for workers in the health units.
