Success Story – Al Rawa’a Health Center in Dhubab District
The opening of Al Rawa Health Center in Dhubab district, where the center was built before the war and was not operational yet, where IYCY come to the district, assess the HFs, and found Al Rawa Health Center was not operational at all since it was built. IYCY now targeting Al Rawa’a Health Center in Dhubab district within the project of Provision of Minimum Service Package of Lifesaving Integrated Emergency Health Care and Wash services and Response for the most Vulnerable Population groups (IDPs and host Population) in the 7 Target Districts of Maqbanah, At Ta’iziyah, Jabal Habashy, Al Wazi’iyah, Mawza’a, Al Ma’afer and Dhubab in Taizz governorate. Where the project was starting on early of October 2018 and it will end on 31-5-2019.

IYCY have furnished the center and supplied the center with medicines, laboratory equipment and stationery with the support of YHF.

Since January this year, 14 SAM malnutrition cases have been treated for children less than five years. 76 of suspected Cholera cases being treated More than 1079 patients benefited from free medical services (laboratory tests, drugs) for all common and uncommon diseases, not to mention trauma patients. Medical consultation services were provided for 17 pregnant women, In addition to providing immunization services…

The health work is accompanied by awareness activities in the geographical area of the district, where it is carried out by a number of volunteers of IYCY to reduce the spread of cholera epidemic.

IYCY is active in the seven districts of Taiz governorate, where it has provided medical centers with furniture and medical supplies and incentive of health staff in the targeted centers.
