Training Course for WASH Volunteers in Taiz
Within the framework of the project Provision of Minimum Service Package of Lifesaving Integrated Emergency Health Care and Wash services and Response for the most Vulnerable Population groups (IDPs and host Population) in Taiz governorate, implemented by the International Youth Council-Yemen (IYCY) and funded by the humanitarian fund (YHF) On Thursday, 20 DEC 2018, a training course for WASH volunteers held for 3 days.
The Training course focused on the concept of environmental sanitation, the definition and its importance to improve the personal hygiene as well as community health along with the communication skills.
During this course, the discussion of water purification and comprehensive awareness had place in the course in many places, schools, homes and mosques.
The trainers got an elaborated explanation in work mechanism within the project.
They also learnt the way of writing reports and skills related to their work in order to facilitate their fieldwork later.
Dr. Abdul Rahim Al Qasimi, director of health at the district, attended the conclusion of the training course and addressed the participants urging them to make efforts to contribute to the success of the project for the benefit of public health.
On behalf of the trainers, Dr. Mehran spoke to the director of health at the district about the difficulties faced by participants in the field and how to deal with them.
At the end of the training, the field map, which is going to be traced, was approved The volunteers also expressed their thanks and appreciation to the International Youth Council – Yemen for providing this great opportunity to expend their knowledge and power in favor of humanitarian action.
