As part of the Youth Building and Development Program, the International Youth Council Yemen (IYCY) conducted the second training workshop (How to Find Your Opportunity) today, Sunday 02 September 2018 with Eng. Tareq A. Hassan. The course targeted 40 trainees from youth initiatives and institutions at the Council’s headquarters – Youth Tent.
The workshop focused on identifying the opportunities, what opportunities we are looking for, and how to obtain these opportunities, which depends on four axes namely rehabilitation, language, skills and relationships. In addition, the participants were acquainted with the most important sites that offer various opportunities of scholarships, courses, jobs and international conferences.
The workshop addressed the most important documents that help us to seize opportunities, including the Curriculum Vitae and how to write it professionally, the Cover Letter and its most important aspects and the Motivation Letter and its contents, which these documents are important for young people to gain opportunities.
Eng. Tareq A. Hassan has stated “Each of us is looking for suitable opportunities in life, and sometimes we encounter the problem of lack of opportunities or many of them, and both create specific challenges for us. Plenty of opportunities create the challenge of choosing the most appropriate and suitable for us. The lack of opportunities creates the challenge of research and constantly seeking to find it. “Youth should not despair and continue to challenge so that find the opportunity s/he is looking for, He added.
The International Youth Council – Yemen is keen to carry out such workshops and training courses on a continuous basis, which stems from the Council’s vision of interest in youth and youth institutions. Noteworthy, the training program includes a series of workshop to build the capacity of youth and youth institutions in various fields.
