Workshop to Identify Essential Needs..

Workshop to Identify Essential Needs and Basic Interventions in Maqbanah District -Taizz
Under the Integrated Famine Risk Reduction program (IFRR), International Youth Council – Yemen with local authorities and civil society organizations organized a workshop today on July 17, 2018 to identify basic community needs. At Al-Mawj heath facility in Maqbanah District, Taiz Governorate.

The workshop was attended by the Director of the Health Office in Maqbanah District, Dr. Ahmad Al-Hemyari, representatives of the local authority offices, community leaders, directors of other health facilities and representatives of the Internally Displaced People (IDPs) in the targeted areas within the mentioned district that are suffering from famine.

This workshop was held to coordinate with the local authorities to involve the community in determining the most important essential needs of the basic interventions on the community surrounding Al-Mawj health facility and Al-Malahedhah Sub-district.

Attendees discussed basic needs of the targeted areas, which include several types of needs including Food, Water, Water Sanitation and Hygiene (WASH), Health as well as Restore Livelihoods and activate the ways of community involvement with the participation supported by organizations that carry out their activities in this district.
