Conference objectives:

Discuss the role and challenges facing CSOs operating in the land governance sector in the region.

Highlighting the potential areas of CSOs work for cooperation between different organizations and their capacity and contribution to better land governance in the Arab countries.

Exchanging information on different points of view on the challenges facing CSOs working in the field of land governance in the Arab region, with a focus on security of tenure and land and property rights.

Learning from current experiences (both successful and unsuccessful);

Identify the main areas of convergence and cooperation with various stakeholders.

Analyzing common issues that CSOs face when meeting women's needs as well as women's groups focused on improving women's social rights, land rights, and land regulations across the region.

Raising awareness of local NGOs in the Arab world about the importance of concerted efforts and working together to demand that governments give more legitimacy to the work of civil society organizations and strengthen them and the degree of their independence and operational freedom to contribute to achieving good land governance.

Expanding the network of experts and institutions that are part of the Arab Land Initiative.

Improving land governance and land tenure security in the Arab region through cooperation between CSOs and governments.
